Modern two-story wooden forest house exterior in Sweden, high-end architectural 3D rendering of Entropy project.
Project overview

Entropy

Ideas that are usually seen as opposites become the starting point for a kind of resonant architecture.
A good example is a house in the province of Dalarna. It blends naturally into its surroundings while keeping a strong inner identity.

The timber-frame structure is covered with vertical boards that echo the long, corridor-like lines of the boreal forest around it. The strict geometry from the flat roof to the cantilevered overhangs does not try to overpower nature. Instead, it gently organizes it, sometimes softening the wildness of the landscape.

Inside, the two-storey home is shaped with natural materials – wood and concrete – that age gracefully. Their textures react to changes in light and humidity, creating a feeling of the outdoors living quietly within.

All of this arises from the balance between the structure's order and the environment's randomness.
